Mackenna Pearce
Teacher
As a dancer, teacher and choreographer, Mackenna brings an extensive background in training in many disciplines of dance including jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, modern and lyrical. Mackenna has been competing both regionally and nationally in Canada and the United States since the age of four years old.
Throughout her years in the studio, Mackenna had the opportunity to attend many workshops and conventions working and learning from many brilliant teachers and choreographers such as Travis Wall, Mandy Moore, Stacey Tookey, Eryn Waltman, Chad McCall, Kirsten Russell, Katy Spreadbury, Al Blackstone, Marty Kudelka, Kenny Wormald, and Misha Gabriel.
Mackenna holds her teaching certificate in tap and jazz with the B.A.T.D, and is also a member of the RAD.
Mackenna has recently graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelors of Kinesiology. Mackenna’s mission was to develop a comprehensive understanding of health and safety, human movement, well-being and rehabilitation.
While attending Laurier, Mackenna was named the captain of CDT dance team, where she was both a dancer and a choreographer as well as a coach and mentor to her peers.
Mackenna looks forward to bridging her foundational dance background with her multidimensional understanding of physical and mental well-being through her teaching practices.
As a Center Stage alumni, Mackenna knows firsthand the positive impact CSSA has had on not only her dance career but the leader and teacher she is today.
