ALYSSA GIBBONS

TEACHER

Alyssa Gibbons has extensive training in a variety of genres, including Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Acrobatics, Contemporary, Tap, Hip-Hop, Musical Theatre, and Gymnastics. Alyssa completed her Grade 8 and Intermediate exams with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). She is a member of the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD) and graduated from the Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) Program in the Arts.

Alyssa is an award winning choreographer and dancer and has taught at many schools and studios. Alyssa represented Canada on the National dance team at the IDO World Show Dance Championships in Riesa, Germany. Alyssa is constantly updating her skills and training, attending open classes and workshops.

Alyssa’s professional experience includes dancing on the red carpet at the MMVAs with Omi, as well as performances with Karl Wolf, Fito Blanko, Brett Kissel and Dallas Smith. Alyssa was also a member of the Toronto Argonauts cheerleading team, and can be seen performing with various dance companies and in film work. Alyssa has also danced for many charitable organizations such as Sick Kids Hospital, and Dancers for Cancer.

Alyssa is always interested in new dance experiences, and expanding her knowledge of the art form, as well as new opportunities for creative expression.
